Interdisciplinary - the “Why” and the “How”
Have you ever heard of the term “interdisciplinary”?
The WHO affirms that in order to understand health in its multidimensionality, it is necessary for various disciplines to interact and integrate with one another. Interdisciplinary implies the enrichment of one discipline with the knowledge of others.
Some advantages include:
Shared responsibilities
The possibility to think of a large number of strategies and resources of support and treatment
Permanent learning
What makes my job more beautiful is being able to work with other health professionals, seeking to understand the complete wellbeing needs of those who consult me. This is how every day I share decisions with nutritionists, kinesiologists, doctors, psychologists, and trainers. And, this is the reason why I took courses and certifications in other areas of health, in order to provide a holistic point of view to those who consult me.
Tell me! Have you ever performed any treatment with the interdisciplinary nature of it in mind?
